Director of Product Development / Lead Software Engineer
NOTION Music, Inc. is looking for a talented and creative C++ software developer with a strong musical background. This talented developer will have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a friendly and professional disposition and willingness to work in a fast paced environment. This position will work on developing our music notation and playback software projects, including user interface, screen rendering, and data/audio processing.
Technical Requirements:
Applicants must have at least 2 years experience in software development using C++/STL as well as excellent debugging ability.
Strong Design Skills Objective-C/Xcode experience desired.
Must be able to work with an existing body of code (maintenance, feature additions, debugging, etc).
Must be able to work in a cross-platform environment (Windows XP/Vista/7, MacOS X Tiger/Leopard/Snow/Lion).
Experience with Mobile App development a plus (iOS, Android, PalmOS, or Windows Mobile).
User Interface or Audio/DSP Programming experience a plus.
Has a musical background in addition to a strong technical background.
Competencies, Skills, Experience, and Education Required:
BS/BA from an accredited university with at least 2+ years experience in professional software development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skill set.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Must be able to function well in a small team environment with excellent interpersonal and technical skills.
Applicant must be able to multi-task as we have multiple projects under development; must be able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
